Historic Cane Hill
Cane Hill is one of the most unappreciated and most fascinating historic places to visit in the state. Its gorgeous antebellum architecture surrounds a community that places a special focus on its unique legacy.

Cane Hill College
Cane Hill College was founded in 1834 and became one of the first universities west of the Mississippi. The original four buildings were burned down by jayhawkers and a moonshiner. This building was built in 1886.

Cane Hill Presbyterian Church
Cane Hill was founded by Cumberland Presbyterians. One group built this church in 1891.

Battle of Cane Hill
The Battle of Cane Hill was fought November 28, 1862, 9 days before the Battle of Prairie Grove. U.S. troops drove the Confederates back into the mountains.
